Other countries have taken different approaches: in France the AstraZeneca jab is now only to be given to those aged 55 and over, while in Germany it is offered to those aged 60 and over. “Although the chance of any person receiving the vaccine experiencing a blood clot with low platelets is extremely small, because the risk of severe Covid in the under-30s with no underlying illness is also small, JCVI feel as a precautionary measure it is appropriate for those in this age group to be offered an alternative Covid vaccine when their turn comes for their first dose of a vaccine,” said Prof Anthony Harnden, deputy chair of the JCVI. In other words, the benefits of the jab far outweigh the risks.īut for young adults that equation, at least at present, is less clearcut.Īs a result the UK’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) has recommended that adults under the age of 30 should be offered alternative Covid vaccines – if available – provided they were healthy and at low risk of Covid. What is more, they note that for most people the risk posed by Covid is much greater than the chance of serious harm from a Covid jab, and that Covid itself can cause dangerous blood clots. However, cases remain very rare: the MHRA noted 79 cases of blood clots with low platelets, including 19 deaths, following more than 20m doses of the AstraZeneca jab, with 44 of the cases and 14 of the deaths related to a rare type of blood clot in the brain called cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) that occurred with a low platelet count.Įxperts have stressed the rarity of such cases estimating they may occur in about one in 100,000 young adults who get the jab – a risk lower than the chance of dying in a road accident in a year. Based on the currently available evidence, specific risk factors have not been confirmed,” the EMA said. “So far, most of the cases reported have occurred in women under 60 years of age within two weeks of vaccination. Are blood clots a side-effect of the vaccines?Ĭoncerns have been raised about a particular situation whereby certain blood clots have occurred together with low levels of platelets – tiny cells in the blood that help it to clot.Įarlier this month the MHRA said that while not yet proved, there was growing evidence to suggest this syndrome could be caused by the AstraZeneca jab, while the European Medicines Agency said there was a possible link and noted the syndrome should be listed as a very rare side-effect of the vaccine. Early reports that some people had severe allergic reactions, particularly to the Pfizer jab, led the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to offer new recommendations, including that anyone receiving the Pfizer jab be monitored for 15 minutes after the event.

So, these points will tell you that, the target is to achieve all the three points for all the priority user stories, so that they are ready to be taken in next sprints. User story should be written in proper format as agreedĮstimates in terms of story points available Let us assume, your team has agreed for definition of ready with below criteria Now that, you know the issues, how definition of ready is going to help your team in avoiding these kind of scenarios and help to reduce the risk?Īs said earlier, DoR is a kind of checklist which tells what and all details to be available to consider any user story as ready to be taken during sprint. So, there are lot of RISKS associated in terms of team delivering as per the sprint goal. That means team is risking the sprint goal itself and they may end up not delivering as per sprint goal. Which makes team to pick some of the user stories with no proper details and may end up spending lot of time on collecting necessary details to complete those stories. And they also may not know whether user stories have all the required details when they are in sprint planning. When no DoR, team doesn’t know what and all details they can be collect during product backlog refinement for all user stories. It is a set of criteria or checklist of items which the scrum/agile team has agreed ,which would help them to consider whether user stories are ready be taken for sprint or not.įirst try to understand what happens when there is no definition of ready (DoR) criteria? Before understanding about definition of ready, just ask yourself a question like, would it help the team if there is a criteria which would tell them whether any item(user story) is ready to be considered for work or not?ĭefinition of Ready is just that. With the scarcity mentality, everyone is in the business of hoarding and playing it safe. Effective rosters in Superflex dynasty leagues not only recognize the value of QBs but also the opportunity cost of not having one. You’ll hear everyone and their mama discuss how SuperFlex leagues create positional scarcity for the QB position. 75% of the NFL QBs will be starting in a SuperFlex league. Positional Scarcity isn’t the same as Positional Supremacy.Īs many people state, what does change in a SuperFlex league is the SUPPLY & DEMAND. What kind of player is he? Do you think he projects to be better than Jahan Dotson on his own team? The majority of fantasy football evaluation is not league-specific rather, the league you play in offers the context for inserting your opinions. Your evaluation of any RB/WR/TE (ex: Terry McLaurin) is separate from your SuperFlex league. Elite RBs like CMC still are game-changers. Patrick Mahomes scores the same in both formats in the Ultimate Draft Kit. He will get angry.) Our QB Point Projections don’t change based on 1QB or 2QB leagues. Like buying a new car, 90% of what matters for a car is transferrable regardless if you’re buying a Prius or a Tesla. SuperFlex is a lens to assess dynasty rosters but it does not change everything. The real questions people are asking: “ Where should I take QBs in SuperFlex? How should I value them rightly?” These are valid questions worth discussing compared to claiming a format is supreme and all others are somehow elementary or weak. Tier-based drafting is our company-wide approach and why we’ve held off on giving SuperFlex rankings for a while. We personally do not recommend that people draft in SuperFlex leagues with a top-200 list. I love SuperFlex but I also don’t mind pointing out some of the failed logic used when people claim it is the only way to play fantasy football. The point isn’t to do an apples-to-oranges comparison but more to point out some of the fallacy of QB scoring, QB importance, and why SuperFlex doesn’t always accurately portray. But did he actually help your team? He failed to score 20 fantasy points in ANY WEEK! Ceedee Lamb, on the other hand, was QB-proof despite Dak Prescott going down and down the stretch, he was a true difference-maker for teams. Yes, technically Aaron Rodgers finished with more fantasy points and ended the year as the QB13… aka the highest-ranked QB2 you could find. In this game we call fantasy football, it is not always the most important position. Finding a top-tier QB is the biggest advantage in professional sports. In professional sports, there is no argument from me about that. In terms of DFS & Best Ball content, I write and give advice on the DFS & Betting podcast almost exclusively with a single QB in mind. For the majority of people who play fantasy football and don’t come in until August, they’ve never heard of the term. Keep in mind that SuperFlex is trending in a way to become the norm in Dynasty Startups. They are water bottles! For fantasy football, no shame in hating on any format that people play in. You might have a preference for what you use and what is normal around your friends but let’s be honest… these things are essentially the same. Hyrdoflasks became a thing, YETI cornered the market on making sure you had an insulated cup, and now my wife and all her friends have way too many Stanley cups (#NotaSponsor). In college, everybody had a Nalgene, at least at my granola college. Much of the elitism in fantasy football league preference can be likened to the water bottle industry. Regardless, we care about giving equitable advice that can be applied anywhere while also equipping people to make the best decisions in their format-specific league. As with any league format, you will have people clamor and claim “ this is the only way to play fantasy!” If it’s TE-premium, it’s their 32-team contract league, or the people stuck on their standard scoring, TD-only “this is the way fantasy was meant to be played” ways. Is there a more notorious sex scene in cinema history? If there is, Bernardo Bertolucci’s infamous “ Last Tango In Paris” at least held the record for the better part of two decades unchallenged. And while it’s impossible not to giggle and act like a four year old when discussing or writing about it, it’s actually quite terrific once you get past how strange, obsessive, and even maniacal the jackrabbit-like sex can be. But while it’s amusing to poke fun at the movie as pornography-made-as-art (which in many ways it is), Oshima’s filmmaking mastery is fully on display too. Not a film to see with your parents, or on a first date, or a second, third or 50th date, “In the Realm of the Senses” is admittedly pretty twisted and not for the faint of heart. Though, to be fair, she was feeding him mushrooms that were, shall we say, “lady flavored” just moments before. Perhaps the strangest element of the various mutually obsessive experimenting-with-sex acts in the film-including lots of erotic asphyxiation-is the part when the male lead played by Tatsuya Fuji places a hardboiled egg into the vagina of his partner (played by Eiko Matsuda). And yes, it’s all “real,” which also makes it often uncomfortable, funny, and yes, sometimes erotic. A sensual and very primal look at carnal desire, “In the Realm of the Senses” is pretty much constant sex, penetration, bj’s, you name it (and it’s also an examination of when love and sexual possession curdles into something rather psychotic). A fictionalized account of a real event-a 1930s brothel servant’s affair with the madam’s husband which leads to hubby’s penis being severed with a knife-that’s actually not so much the most disturbing part (though yes, this pre-Lorena Bobbit stuff is fucked up). Especially next to Japanese enfant terrible Nagisa Oshima’s 1976 erotic sex drama (read arty pornography) “ In the Realm of the Senses” (though its direct, more appropriate translation is “ Bullfight of Love,” American distributors apparently feeling it necessary to make it sound a bit more sensual). What’s that? Lars von Trier is making a soft-core pornography drama where the lead actors will have unsimulated sex-though of course any real penetration or sex will be performed by body doubling porn actors? That’s cute. Having reached adulthood and passed his training, full of confidence and bravado, an eager Hercules sets off with Phil to become a hero in Thebes. Phil at first declines returning to the hero training business, unconvinced that Hercules was the son of Zeus, but is convinced after Zeus strikes him with lightning. Zeus tells Hercules that he must prove himself a true hero, instructing him to find the trainer of heroes Philoctetes (or "Phil"), while giving him the winged horse Pegasus to assist. This inspires Hercules to visit the temple of Zeus, where he learns of his godhood. Shortly afterward, Hercules is told about his adoption by Amphitryon and Alcmene. His clumsiness and uncoordinated strength leads to him accidentally destroying a marketplace. He has difficulty being accepted by others due to being a geek. Growing up into a clumsy teenager, Hercules is all elbows and knees, not being able to control his godlike strength. Zeus and the other gods discover the kidnapping too late, and because Hercules is now mortal, he cannot return to Mount Olympus. The couple then adopts the child, considering his arrival a gift from the gods since they are themselves childless. However, the arrival of two mortals, Amphitryon and Alcmene, causes Hercules to miss the final drop of the potion, causing him to retain his superhuman strength despite becoming mortal. Knowing that, as a god, Hercules is immortal and invulnerable to harm, Hades sends his two lackeys, Pain and Panic, to kidnap Hercules and turn him mortal by means of a magic potion. However, one god is upset about the new arrival: Hercules' evil uncle Hades, who wants to take control of Olympus and the world, along with all of creation. In the original movie, instead of the being the demigod hero son of Zeus and the mortal Alcmene, Hercules was actually born on Mount Olympus as a god, and his parents were Zeus and Hera, the latter of whom is re-imagined as a loving mother instead of a spiteful stepmother. As a hero, Hercules wears a brown-orange brass Cuirass-like tank armor tunic with a blue cape. However, despite his bravado and becoming the model of physical perfection as an adult, Hercules still retains some of his teenage flaws, such as being shy and awkward. After completing his hero training, Hercules physically changes to being top-heavy and muscular, having larger biceps and pectorals and a thicker neck, as well as a stance that changes from stooped and pigeon-toed to upright, with the chest puffed out and his feet turned out. As a gawky and awkward teenager, Hercules is depicted as tall and thin, with broad, but stooped shoulders, extraordinarily long arms and legs, huge hands and pigeon-toed feet, a long skinny neck, and oversized ears. He often inadvertently destroys things or humiliates himself. All elbows and knees, Hercules is represented as an overgrown gangly youth who doesn't know his own strength. His appearance is a handsome young man, with orange hair and eyebrows and wide blue eyes. In the original movie, Josh Keaton voiced Hercules as a teenager, while Tate Donovan was the hero as an adult, and Roger Bart was Hercules' singing voice in the song " Go the Distance".He has no siblings in the film. He is based on the mythological Heracles, commonly referred to by the Roman spelling, Hercules. Hercules is the titular character of the franchise. Got an OS X tip? Need help troubleshooting OS X? I'd say 6'0.5" most likely if you caught him with his pants down and demanded that he stand for measurement right away at 3 PM, maybe 6'1" in the morning. Then again, if Richard Branson is 5'11" for real and Elon's coming in easily a good deal taller than him despite Branson having shoes on and Musk not.he might get close to 6'1" barefoot. That said.Elon DOES wear a lot of pretty substantially heeled dress shoes so I might be hesitant to put him over 6'1" - he may be an example of the barely 6'0" man who wants that extra edge for the visuals of it when he does photo ops. But even late at night with a compressed spine I'd say looking over 5'9" if you're over 6'1" is no issue. I'd say upper eye level / lower brow to top of head distance is about 3.5" most times. At 5'11" I'd have to go up on my toes a little bit to see over the top of his head if we're both in equal footwear. I'd say 5'10"-5'10.5" depending on posture and head position because I have a shelf in my place that I have measured at exactly 5'10.5" high, and when I stand square on with it in the morning I am able to actually see the top surface of the shelf without any trickery or craning my neck -almost exactly flush with the surface In other words, I can look clear over the head of a 5'10" guy if I'm standing behind him in a crowd. speaking as someone who, in the morning, is knocking right on the 6'2" door, 5'9" is definitely below eye level if I break out a tape measurer. Rob curious question, how many inches would a 6'2" person eyesight level stare at on a measuring tape?ĥft 9-9.5 range, anywhere amongst that would cover 95% of 6ft 2 men. It's difficult to see Musk as 6'1 flat or lower with Jordan Peterson, if anything he looks nearer 6'2 with him, though how much Jordan loses with posture at times is questionable. Personally I'm very centrist and see a lot of stuff which is crazy to me on both sides of the political spectrum but it wouldn't be my place to want to cancel either side for their views, as I know that other people have different perceptions of the world and may genuinely believe what they say. Twitter is hardly a true free speech platform now anyway, David Icke and Ye wouldn't have been banned if it was. I think free speech is very important for society, and am of the opinion that if you don't like what somebody is saying, ignore it. Who decides what is crazy and what you can't say? Some things called "misinformation" could be partly true depending on what sources you look at, and the man who wants to change sex may genuinely be in a lot of pain and feel better living life as a woman, who are we to judge? Unless it's obscenely bad, racist and violent or death threats etc, who is the authority on deciding? It tends to come down to your own political viewpoint and beliefs and Twitter was based in San Francisco, one of the most far-left cities in the world. The problem is Malcolm, how do you judge what is "crazy" and punishable in times such as this? One side could say "how dare you put out vaccine misinformation?", the other side can say "how dare this man with a tallywhacker claim to be a woman".
